It is estimated that upwards of 2,000 persons were present on the occasion, and the announcement that Her Majesty had been pleased to bestow upon Mr. Belilios the honour of a Companionship of the Order of St Michael and St George was received with immense enthusiasm.
I enclose six copies of the invitation cards issued, and four copies of a Souvenir entitled "Belilios Public School" which were distributed by Mr. Belilios. The Building is not only handsome but commodious and is fitted with the most modern appliances. It is capable of accommodating, without any unnecessary crowding, 608 girls.
